Abstract


Acciona Engineering has participated in different phases of the design process for the Dubai and Vancouver Metro viaducts, both works awarded to Acciona Construction. The two projects involve the design of long viaducts for light rail being the analysis of the track structure interaction essential to verify the design of the track and substructure. This document aims to show the special features of the RSI analysis for this type of structure and the difficulties in the application of the current UIC 774-3 leaflet , due to this code was focused on its application to conventional railway viaducts
