Abstract


Nowadays, the importance to be given to sustainability issues in the development of infrastructures projects is increasing. Particularly, choosing an appropriate construction material might allow to substantially improve a structure’s sustainability whether in economic, environmental or social terms. This article proposes an assessment model based on the multi-attribute theory for the analysis of different alternatives for structural members’ materials. The model is used to assess the sustainability of different alternatives of sports’ halls roofs.
