Enlargement of an historical arch bridge in Castelló de la Ribera
Abstract
The enlargement of the bridge over the Albaida river in Castello de la Ribera offers a solution that allows, at the same time, the preservation of Historical Heritage and the suitable usage of the structure. The ancient bridge fits to the archs typology defined by J.E. Ribera (four free span of 32 m and a rise/span ratio of 1/10), that played a very significant role in the Spanish bridge history at the beginning of the century.
